Wedding Photographer at Château d’Artigny

 

Rising above the Indre valley from its wooded heights, Château d’Artigny in Montbazon is an exceptional estate. Neoclassical architecture, grand decorated salons, sweeping terraces overlooking the park, there is something here that feels cinematic. But better than cinema, because it is real.

I have been photographing weddings in Tours and the surrounding region since 2009. As a wedding photographer at Château d’Artigny, I have come to know what this place does to people. It leaves a mark — not only for the beauty of the building, but for what it brings out in couples: a way of holding themselves, of looking at each other, of inhabiting their day with an effortless elegance.

 

A venue that elevates the people in it

 

Château d’Artigny leaves no one indifferent. Couples who marry here find themselves carried by the setting, and it shows in the photographs. There is no need to “try” for beautiful images here. Simply being present, living the day, trusting the surroundings, that is enough.

As a photographer, what draws me in: the light on the terraces in late afternoon, the interior galleries with their soft, filtered glow, the park with its deep perspectives and massive trees. And above all: the in-between moments, between speeches, between ceremony and cocktail hour, when the couple finally exhales and gives themselves over to joy.

 

My approach: natural reportage

 

I am not a photographer who positions couples against a façade and says “smile”. I walk alongside them, anticipate their movements, watch for the moments that will not come again. This is particularly well-suited to a venue like Artigny, where interior and exterior spaces flow naturally into one another and create transitions I love to follow.

For couple portraits, I favour natural light, the terraces at sunset, the park’s alleys in golden hour. Images that are both elegant and alive; images of real people, not catalogue figures.

I am based near Tours, 20 minutes from Montbazon. I know Artigny, its light across the seasons. This is not a venue I am discovering on your wedding day.
